About Us

A Johannesburg epoxy flooring service that looks at your slab before it quotes, and plans the job around the Highveld weather.

    Who we are

Epoxy Flooring Johannesburg puts resin floors into garages, homes, showrooms, workshops and warehouses across the northern, western and eastern suburbs. You can reach us by phone, email or the quote form, and every enquiry starts with a free visit to the floor.

The floor itself is laid by our appointed installation contractor, working on our behalf. The system, the price and the dates are agreed with you in writing before anyone starts.

What we care about most is the part you never see. A coating is only as good as the concrete under it, so grinding, crack repair and a moisture test come before any colour talk.

What you can expect from us

    We see the floor first

Every price follows a visit. We measure, test the slab for moisture and look at every crack before putting a number on paper. The visit costs nothing.

    Six systems, one recommendation

Solid colour, flake, metallic, industrial, polyurethane or stone carpet. We tell you which one suits the room and the traffic, and why, rather than handing you a brochure.

    Dates you can plan around

The quote says when you can walk on the floor and when the car can go back in, adjusted for the season the job falls in.

North, west and east of the city

Sandton, Randburg, Midrand, Roodepoort, Bedfordview and Fourways, plus the suburbs around them.

Three things a Johannesburg floor has to allow for

The resin is the same product anywhere in the country. The weather and the ground it goes down on are not, and these three shape how we plan a job here.

    Storm afternoons

Hail in South Africa clusters along the Highveld, and it falls most often from mid-November to February, peaking between about 3 pm and 7 pm. In summer we start doorway and outdoor work early, and before you book we agree where the car will stand while the floor cures.

No gas heaters on a cold slab

On a July morning it is tempting to warm a garage with a gas or paraffin heater. A South African floor-epoxy data sheet rules that out: fuel heaters give off carbon dioxide and water vapour that can spoil the finish, and only electric warm-air blowers are allowed. If a winter floor needs warmth, it gets electric heat or more days.

Clay that moves with the rain

Parts of Gauteng sit on clays that swell in the wet season and shrink in the dry one, and engineers link that movement to cracked floors and jammed doors. With about 131.7 mm of rain in January and 1.7 mm in July at O.R. Tambo, the ground gets a wet summer and an almost rainless winter every year. Cracks are judged on site, and one that is still moving is detailed as a joint rather than buried under resin.

    How a job runs

    1. 1You send a photo of the floor, your suburb and a line about how the space is used.
    2. 2We visit, measure, test for moisture and check the cracks, then send a written price with dates.
    3. 3On the day, our appointed installation contractor does the work on our behalf: grinding, repairs, primer and the coats in your chosen finish.
    4. 4You get the walk-on and park-on dates in writing, so you know when the room and the garage are yours again.

The longer version, with what happens on each day, is on our step-by-step process page.
